Program: Computational and Information Sciences and Technology and Information Sciences and Technology Office (CISTO)
The Computational and Information Sciences and Technology Office (CISTO), Code 606, at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) was formed in January 2005 as a result of the transformation of the separate Earth Sciences Directorates (ESD) and Space Sciences Directorates (SSD) into a single cohesive Sciences and Exploration Directorate (SED) to better support the President's Vision for Exploration. CISTO is a Directorate-level organization, which serves as the focal point for Information Technology (IT) and computational services to support the research programs of the SED.

The Work Performed
Web Content Management
Telophase is tasked to provide narrative management and delivery system of all electronic assets on CISTO's web servers with CMS tools for content administrators. We also utilized federated search tools on the CISTO web sites that enabled faster access to searches. Telophase currently provides on-going support with creative input the webmaster, as organization information and web services evolve.
System Administration
Telophase provides system administration duties that are critical to the daily operations of CISTO. Our personnel perform administrative functions as bi-weekly backups, important security modifications the operating system, general configuration changes and application software installation. In particular, Telophase provides system administrator support to configure the operating systems of CISTO web server(s) for proper operations inclusive of conforming to NASA IT Security compliance, installation of timely security patches to the operating system and supportive web applications, and appropriate general software upgrade as applicable.
Documentation Support
Telophase services include providing support to creatively develop the multi-media design and incorporate the content of the CISTO newsletter/brochure that is accessible via the Internet from the CISTO website. Our document support services include producing a bi-monthly of layout design and porting of the organizational newsletter in a creative web and PDF format.
