We were extremely impressed with Telophase. Even though their time with us was brief, we feel like they had provided significant contribution to achieving the goals of the VHA OI. — Harpreet Sodhi, Program Manager, VHA OI

The Work Performed

Database Management

Implemented web-enabled reports for the National Card Management Directory, an enterprise-wide data repository that stores enrollment information pertaining to the issuance of smart cards to veterans. These reports act as a decision support tool that enables senior decision-makers within the VHA to implement, evaluate and revise smart card procedures and policies. Also, maintained the Emerging Technologies Group’s knowledge management system.

System Analysis

Telophase, with other team members, worked on recommendations for the implementation of interoperable data card systems and intranet solutions. The group took over the task to develop secure communication procedures that can be used in connection with networks and/or card systems in a health care system.

The Results

  • Permit viewers to read data from smart cards with a defined data set.
  • Provide the essential medical information that is vital for an emergency situation.
  • Allow the secure identification of healthcare professionals when accessing medical data and network services.
